Forever Blowing Bubbles

A couple of posts ago I mentioned the free mindmapping software Freemind, which is an excellent tool for making quite complex and customizable mindmaps for all of your planning and revision needs. However, sometimes you just need a quick and dirty little web-app to help throw some ideas together on the fly since you might not have Freemind installed on your un-hep friend's computer or your school may have IT lockdowns that prevent you from being hep there. (NOTE: This is a blog that enables you to become hep.)

Bubbl.us to the rescue!

Bubbl.us is great for two reasons:

  1. It utilizes a country specific domain suffix, in this case .us, to create a nifty web address (cf. Elbo.ws (take THAT Samoa!))

  2. It does exactly what you need it to do with no fuss, not messin'.

  3. Those two reasons alone make it great, but don't take my word for it...try it yourself the next time you are planning a lesson, revising, bilding a website or whatever.

1000 Subscribers

As of today I have 1000 Subscribers to my YouTube Channel which contains tutorials on how to use the image manipulation software GIMP.

I haven't actually uploaded a tutorial in ages since I have more important things to, so I'm surprised it is still going strong. Having said that I may have to make a tutorial soon as I feel a bit guilty about practically abandoning my channel, but realistically I won't make another one until February at the earliest...so the adoring fans will just have to wait.

Wow...just noticed the other channel, that I never log in to has 30 subs, too! Imagine 30 people actually want to hear more of me waffling on about poetry.
